Lance Hill. Photographer. Traveler. Optimist.
Welcome to our space on the interwebs. Lance and his wife Cecile reside and operate their studio in Shoreview, MN on the north shore of Snail Lake. Lance is well-known for his scenic outdoor work and enjoys a wide variety of other photographic styles.
It all started out in our townhouse with three little children running around in the living room above. By 1988, we had to make some significant changes. We wanted to be home when our kids got off the bus from school. It seemed the only way to enjoy that freedom was by building the studio into our home we had just moved into in Shoreview.
For the past 3 decades, Lance has created an industry benchmark. He cares about his work and appreciates each portrait with a true artist's passion, creating images beyond normal portraiture.
For years, high school graduates have found Lance Hill to be a refreshing departure from the mass-production head shots common in so many of today's studios.
Lance's portraits with their unique blend of dramatic artistry and creativity become pieces of art and timeless family heirlooms. He is sought after by families from neighboring states and large number of individuals in all walks of life who want portraits of quality.
Lance creates images in a laid-back, casual atmosphere. He works with you to create images that are uniquely you!
Lance's real gift and talent is working with people. He makes you feel beautiful right here, and right now, in a world where we don't always feel that way. After 30 years photographing high school seniors, families, children, and businesses - we've realized how great it is we are different, and all of us beautiful in our own way. Lance's passion is helping you look the best you've ever looked.
We mean it when we say we want you to have the most memorable experience when you come to us and leave with thrilling portraits every time.
Please join us and experience Minnesota's most beautiful portraits.
We look forward to working with you!
Lance — One day I woke up from the YMCA gig I was running and decided I needed a change of lifestyle. I love photography and my parents were both photographers, I decided to take a whack at it. We have built this business while living on a lake and enjoying the sunshine each morning. I am a very happy and blessed man.
